The I-1402 Mode 4 Accessory Unit is designed to interface with the ATC-1400A Transponder / DME Test Set to provide additional pulse code modulation for testing both ATC and Mode 4 Transponders, as well as Radar Interrogators operating in ATC modes A,C and Mode 4. The I-1402 communicates with the ATC-1400A via the "IFR bus" and responds to the requirements of the ATC-1400 IEEE 488-1978 bus. - Additional XPDR ATC test functions; 4096 code encoder, altitude encoder and Mode Group Delay
